Public event for Save Our Schools (SOS) - Sculptures by the Sea Family Picnic

4/3/14 - (SOS) Stop the Cuts & Save Our Schools will hold a family picnic alongside the Sculptures by the Sea exhibit at Cottesloe Beach on Saturday 8th March 2014, to oppose the State Government’s cuts to public education.

Save Our Schools (SOS) Stop the Cuts is a non aligned parents group who want a fair go for all kids in WA public schools. Parents and kids are our core constituency.

Save Our Schools (SOS) Stop the Cuts has been organised by parents from ten schools in the inner south western Perth metropolitan area, the group is expanding quickly as more parents join to take part in the campaign against the cuts.

Tim Kucera from the East Fremantle Primary School P&C and SOS spokesman said today:

“Save Our Schools (SOS) Stop the Cuts” exists to demand that adequate funding is provided for all children in government schools.

We want to say to our Premier that ‘we have a life’ and it’s all about our kids and their future.

SOS urge’s parents and all community members committed to ‘Stopping the Cuts’ to bring along food, rug ett and join us for a picnic with a purpose. We will meet in the car park adjacent to India’s Tearooms at 5pm this Saturday followed by a picnic on a nearby grassy terrace.

Bring your kids and wear orange.
